4WardEver UK & The Drum presents:

Looking For Love

Tickets : £3.00 to £4.00

Despite modern advances in communication technology, many people face loneliness and depression. Modern living seems to be at odds with the quality of life associated with the holy grail of inner contentment. Many are increasingly opting out into the world of single-dom, yet underneath all this is the deep need to be loved.

This no holds barred documentary from a leading British filmmaker combines frank, intimate and humorous interviews alongside carnival footage and spoken word to explore modern relationships. The film is focused on the UK's Black British community as a microcosm of British society. Individuals, groups, psychologists and comedians consider love, sex, intimacy and forgiveness.

Contributors include African American psychologist school Dr Umar Johnson, relationship author's Susan Quilliam and Jackie Holder. Whilst Kojo, Andi Osho, Eddie Kadi, Slim, Mr Cee, Donna Spence and Glenda Jaxson add insightful humour to a subject that we all talk about.

The film is produced and directed by multi-award winning Director/Producer Menelik Shabazz www.menelikshabazz.co.uk

This project follows on from his previously successful and award winning feature documentary The Story of Lover's Rock. This film was one of the highest grossing documentary at the UK cinema box office in 2012. www.loversrockthefilm.com
