Comedy Summer Series

Laugh your way into the summer as the Comedy Summer Series kicks off on
Fri 1 May with headline act Richard Blackwood alongside Bronx bad girl Gina Brillion (US TV’s Premium Blend). Gina makes her Birmingham debut, bringing her feisty big apple attitude to a range of subjects from the clever to the silly. 6 foot 1 of comedy fun, Donald Mac completes the bill hosted by comedian turned Teletubbie John Simmit.

Fri 5 Jun sees the second outing of comedy this summer season with an international special featuring a headline set from one of New York’s comedy greats Wil Sylvince, Wil has appeared on everything from US TV’s Def Comedy Jam to UK TV’s The World Stands Up. Completing the line up is big sister herself Donna Spence weighing in with some south London wisdom, alongside fast rising Marlon Davis (MTV’s ‘Get Rich’) and host John Simmit.

Bringing the comedy season to a close on Fri 3 Jul is MTV Base’s current man of the moment Kojo. Now based in New York, he hits the stage alongside America’s Dante Carter, (US TV’s Comic View) and Birmingham’s own Ms Jan’eace, who is steadily climbing the comedy ladder. Host on the night is John Simmit.
