Tejinder the Terminator

The Drum is pleased to welcome back the stars of Channel 4’s hit show, The Family. Matribhoomi Theatre Company return to Birmingham with their brand new show Tejinder The Terminator on Sat 17 April @ 7.30pm and Sun 18 April @ 5.30pm.

This Punjabiwood comedy play is based on the life of a Punjabi Policeman, Tejinder. He’s lazy, talks a lot of nonsense and in his spare time is a Bhangra singer. He has been fired or ‘terminated’ from the Police Department 100 times and that’s why he is known as Tejinder The Terminator.

One day his seniors decide to give him one last chance to prove himself so they send Tejinder on a special mission to England to find the famous Punjabi film actress Swarn Kaur alias Ser Khani. Swarm ran away from the Punjab and is now settled in England. Tejinder’s hilarious journey begins as soon as he arrives in the UK. He uses all tactics to catch Ser Khani but when he finally meets her he falls head over heels in love with her and so the plot thickens. Confused? You will be!

This is not a black comedy but a brown Punjabi one that’s packed with humour, poetry, banter, dance & music like you never heard before.

You will also get the opportunity to hear Jeet sing his debut single Zara Bachke. Tejinder The Terminiator, which is performed in Punjabi, is bound to make you laugh out loud so go & tell your bebe, foofad, pua and paabi.

Also starring Kaki, Bhavi & Karan from Channel 4’s hit series The Family.
