Shades of Brown: a play by Rani Moorthy Written and performed by Rani Moorthy
Directed by Linda Marlowe
Don’t miss your chance to catch Rani Moorthy’s critically acclaimed play on Friday 14 November at The Drum. Comic, bold and deeply moving, this thought provoking one-woman show asks: can one woman’s healthy glow be another woman’s social stigma? From a South African albino to a skin-bleaching Indian bride, Rani Moorthy transforms into a range of funny and poignant characters, each of whom share an ironic kinship through the one thing they cannot hide from – their skin. From the team behind the world famous Curry Tales, this play will get under your skin, no matter what shade of brown you are.
