Cafe Masti presents Paul Sinha
The Drum presents Café Masti featuring Paul Sinha in Extreme Anti-White Vitriol.
Things are hotting up in Café Masti as we prepare for the arrival of the UK's only openly gay, Asian, medically qualified stand-up comedian Paul Sinha, who is performing at The Drum on Friday 30 July, 2010. Paul is vexed. A racist called him a racist and in his new show Extreme Anti-White Vitriol he sets out to explain why the deputy leader of the BNP accused him of coming out with 'extreme anti-white vitriol'.
Unquestionably a talented comic, Paul Sinha has amassed an impressively diverse list of credits including regular appearances at The Comedy Store, Jongleurs as well as being a firm favourite at the Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Festival. Paul has spent much of the last decade garnering rave reviews for his self-deprecating tales of life as a GP, lovelorn bachelor, quiz fanatic and social coward. But this year he doesn’t want to discuss turning forty, because he has bigger fish to fry.
In Extreme Anti-White Vitriol Paul fights back. The show also touches on the comedians’ obsession with quizzing. He’s appeared on The Weakest Link (he was voted off 4th), University Challenge, Mastermind and Brain of Britain. It’s a quirky life, but he’ll explain everything. Expect plenty of laugh out loud comedy and tongue in cheek humour at this show.
What the critics say about Paul Sinha:
“Sinha’s wonderfully uncluttered one-liners are delivered with the crisp clarity of cut glass but crucially his set retains an engaging warmth. He doesn’t so much walk the line between controversy and outrage as use it for a skipping rope. Highly original.” Metro
“One of the most consistently funny acts on the circuit today.” The Last Laugh Comedy Club
“Superb comic writing.” The Times
