The Drum in partnership with Aston Hall presents
Aston Heritage Day
Sat 20 Jun, 11.30 – 4.30pm
Take the Aston Challenge and let Aston amaze you!
The Drum in partnership with Aston Hall and other local organisations within Aston have come together to host the Aston Heritage Day, where you can visit amazing places within the area. The day will consist of behind the scenes tours, refreshments, face painting, art workshops, trails, quizzes and much more.
Each venue has exciting and different things going on throughout the day. Parks and playgrounds, museums and mosques, churches and arts venues, a football ground and a fire station – there is so much to see and do! Come along to any of the places taking part and find out what Aston has to offer.
As part of the day’s events at The Drum, the Young Gifted Brum participants will be displaying their talents and performing in their first show. Why not come down and support some of the young talent from the area.
There will be free multimedia and technical workshops, a Cubanisimo salsa class and a fascinating behind-the-scenes’ tour of the venue, plus a variety of arts, crafts and community information stalls.
There will also be competitions throughout the day to win FREE tickets and giveaways.
Additional venues taking part include:
• Aston Hall
• Aston Library
• Kajans
• South Aston Church
• The Bartons Arms
• Aston Villa FC
• Aston Manor Transport Museum
• Sacred Heart and Saint Margaret Mary Church
• Aston Parish Church
• Birmingham Jame Masjid Mosque
• Aston Fire Station
If you are interested in the arts or would simply like to find out what Aston has to offer, come along and let Aston amaze you.
