The Drum presents:
An Audience with Linton Kwesi Johnson

An Audience with Linton Kwesi Johnson on Sat 28 Feb @ 7.30pm is an opportunity for renowned dub poet and musician Linton Kwesi Johnson to share his life, politics and poetry with host - writer, educator and criminologist Martin Glynn. Martin will be posing a series of questions as well as fielding questions from audience members in order to get a real insight into the people and events that have helped shape, motivate and inspire LKJ throughout his career. We’ll hear directly from LKJ about his life as a Black Panther, working as a reporter and journalist with the BBC and Channel 4 whilst building a reputation as “the world’s first reggae poet”.

The discussion will be followed by a live performance as LKJ uses revolutionary language and reggae rhythms to get his message across. This is an eagerly anticipated visit to The Drum of a prolific artist who has penned poetry classics such as “Inglan Is A Bitch”; “Tings and Times” and “Mi Revalueshanary Fren” .
