Calling all poets, spoken word artistes, emcees, rappers, toasters, singers and spitters! Monthly poetry nights are back at The Drum. Perform your work and have the opportunity to interact with editors, publishers, theatre producers and other members of the West Midlands poetry scene. Word Up! is compered in rotation by four of The Drum’s in-house poets and will feature a guest poet reading, and a Q&A session, embedded in the midst of an open mic event.
