BAYC presents The Interrupters
Every City Needs its Heroes . . .
From the Director of ‘Hoop Dreams’ The Interrupters tells the moving and surprising true story of three dedicated individuals Ameena, Cobe and Eddie, who are violence interrupters (their given job title). With bravado, humility and even humor they use their own personal experiences and street credibility to work in the communities of Chicago, working with families to stop the spread of violence. Their work and their insights are informed by their own journeys, which, as each of them point out, defy characterisation. This film is suitable for Youth Workers and Youth Groups.
