Hallo Jerusalem, Capital of Arab Culture 2009

Birmingham celebrates the choice of Jerusalem as Capital of Arab Culture 2009 with an evening of cultural solidarity with the future capital of Palestine.

Artists representing many different cultures will be joining together to celebrate this historic city. The evening will feature a Palestinian dance troupe and a singer from Palestine, music from singer songwriter Ben Okafor, reggae band Rockstone and YSK, sufi rock band Silk Road and Blues guitarist Joe Beale, poetry from Palestine, Kokumo and the multicultural voices of Writers Without Borders.

Proceeds will go to a Palestinian charity.
