Tavaziva Dance presents
Chatsva
Encompassing Tavaziva’s trademark exploration of African Dance traditions within a Western contemporary style, six high octane dancers explode onto the stage with an evening of new works, performed to music ranging from Zimbabwean choral to Tuku ghetto sounds.
This exhilarating programme of dance features a powerful solo which makes use of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s 1807 public outburst against the evils of slavery, and an engaging duet by guest choreographer Thea Nerissa.
