CJ White & Nubian Rainbow present Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin
A master strategist, tireless activist and an openly gay man in a fiercely homophobic era Bayard Rustin was behind one of the largest nonviolent protests in 1968 Washington. Despite his achievements in peaceful protesting Rustin was silenced, threatened, arrested, beaten and imprisoned. Five years in the making and the winner of numerous awards, Brother Outsider is a feature-length documentary portrait, focusing on Rustin’s activism for peace, racial equality, economic justice and human rights.
