The Drum presents Blackheart Man
“Ticka the Blackheart Man little children don’t go near him. Ticka the Blackheart Man little children even the lions fear him.” So sings the legendary Bunny Wailer, but who is the Blackheart Man? What is there for you to be frightened of? Is it all hype?
Set to be a highlight of Black History Month, Blackheart Man is Moqapi Selassie’s explosive, incendiary one man show that looks at growing up in England as a Black Man/Rastafari. The show combines poetry, monologues, video and music.
Supported by Birmingham Book Festival.
