Black Atlas
Black Atlas celebrates the Bi-Centennial of the signing of the Act of Abolition from Slavery by telling the historical tale of two slaves in words and music. One slave is from America; another is from Africa. One can read; one cannot. They meet in Regency England. One becomes the first Black Prize Fighter in England. Spanning three continents in 85 minutes, Black Atlas is based on George McDonald Fraser's best-selling novel 'Black Ajax'. Black Atlas features an original score by Tim Williams and depicts a vast range of historical characters ranging from Tom Molineaux to King George III.
