An Audience with Tahmima

Born in Bangladesh, brought up in Paris, Bangkok, New York City and now living in London Tahmima Anam comes from a family of gifted writers and thinkers.  Her debut novel, A Golden Age unfolds against the backdrop of Bangladesh's war of independence, informed by interviews with ex-freedom fighters, military officers, students, and survivors of the 1971 war combined with her own family history.

Tahmina will be discussing her life and work with Aftab Rehman (BYF), answering audience questions and reading extracts from her work.
