Slogan Printing Workshop

£8 (£5 concessions)

A printing press machinery

An opportunity to use one of the oldest letterpress equipment in Winterbourne House and Garden’s Printing Press. Working with Artist-in-Residence, Becky Howson, and in support of Black History Month, you will be shown the basics of how to compose type by hand followed by how to use some of the brilliant old presses in the Printing Press.

Participants put their new skills into practice by producing some thought provoking posters that can be taken from famous quotes from inspirational leaders across the globe or something you have designed yourself which can be displayed in Winterbourne House or taken away.

This event is limited to a maximum of 6 places, so book early to avoid disappointment.

For more information email blackhistorymonth@bham.ac.uk
